Use flour to roll. Perfection!

I forgot to add to my review that I didn’t do the egg wash. I brushed on just a bit of reduced fat mayo for the seasonnig to stick. But I’m not sure it was needed.

Next time I’ll measure the flour by weight and see if that helps. Once I fixed the super sticky issue, I made 3 everything bagels and reserved the 4th portion for one individual pizza crust. Once the bagels were cooled enough I sliced them, then cut off enough of one for a bite with some cream cheese. they are really good! I brushed the pizza crust with a mixture of olive oil, garlic, parmesan, and pizza seasoning then cooked it in my air fryer (sorry I’m bad at paying attention to length of time) then when almost done I added one thinly sliced baby portabella mushroom, some turkey pepperoni, and mozzarella. I turned up the temp a bit and cooked until cheese was melted and starting to brown. It was very good and the calories were quite reasonable. I may use this recipe to make a full size pizza for a dinner meal some time.

They don’t expand during cooking if you ise all purpose flour. Try with self rising flour. I made the same mistake. Second batch came out great but make a bigger hole

In reply to Kelly.

A cup is 8 fluid oz which is a measure of volume, the standard oz is a measure of weight.

Made today. Lumpy, I think I needed more yogurt. They were yummy for my first time. I will master this, lol. Question though… Says 1 cup Flour, 5 oz … Isn’t 1 cup 8 oz? Checking what everyone does…

I like rye bagels so I modified the recipe and they come out perfect every time. I use 2/3 cup bread flour plus 1/3 cup rye flour and add 1 tbsp King Arthur rye deli flavor & 2 teaspoons caraway seeds (plus the yogurt, salt, baking powder and egg wash). Air fry at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Perfection! I would like to figure out how to make 4 slightly larger bagels but I have not wanted to experiment with the formula.
